EasyNetMonitor

EasyNetMonitor, a free network monitor offered by Nicekit Software, will help you see if an address is reachable. From the application’s quite simple interface you can easily add an address – an internet host or a remote PC. Once you’ve done that, EasyNetMonitor will regularly ping the address and thus let you know if it is reachable.

EasyNetMonitor does not have to be installed (and that, of course, makes the application portable). To get EasyNetMonitor up and running you do not have to complete a lengthy installation procedure. You only need to run the EasyNetMonitor executable.

Run the EasyNetMonitor executable and a new icon will show up in the system tray. Right click it and a context menu will show up. Click Options and you will get to play with various settings that govern how EasyNetMonitor works: launch on startup, enable sound notification, enable email notification, enable log, set the ping interval, ping when tray menu is opening.

Click Add and you will get to enter the address EasyNetMonitor will monitor. The following options are available: enter address and name; show an icon in the system tray; show balloon message if the connection is lost; play sound notification if the connection is lost; send out email notifications; set the default timeout.

All the addresses you enter are displayed in EasyNetMonitor’s right click context menu. They can be edited, they can be deleted. If you want to, you can manually ping an address.

EasyNetMonitor is free software. All the functionality presented above is offered for the great price of free.

Add as many addresses as you want and EasyNetMonitor will monitor them. It will regularly ping internet hosts and remote PCs and thus let you know if they are reachable.
